Dream Dictionary – Dreams Beginning with the Letters J and K
When using the Dream Dictionary Guide, be sure to “look up” each dream symbol, color, and number you remember from your dream as well as the emotions you felt or encountered during the dream AND upon wakening from the dream. All of these are clues that’ll help you piece together the puzzle that is your dream’s meaning and interpretation.
J
Jack (Card). The Jack card symbolizes royalty to a certain degree for most dreamers. However, it also represents a bit of an inferiority complex – after all, if the dreamer associated themselves entirely with royalty, they’d dream of the Queen or King card! If the dream is a pleasant, positive dream, this arrangement is perfectly fine with the dreamer. However, if there is conflict and negative feelings attached to the dream, the dreamer most probably feels that they aren’t getting their due.
They may even desire an uprising!
Jail. In dreams, a jail represents either penalty, guilt, or a loss of freedom. The dreamer has to look at the surrounding situation and the emotions they feel during the dream and upon wakening to determine which of these dream interpretations is accurate for them. Jail dreams offer the dreamer a great opportunity to search their soul and see if they do, indeed, harbor any feelings of guilt or remorse or if, by contrast, they feel they’re being wrongly accused of or punished for something.
If the dreamer feels they’ve lost a piece of their freedom (at home, work, or school), the jail would symbolize this powerful emotion.
Jar. If you dream of opening a jar – the ease in which it opens determines your dream meaning. If it opens without any problem, your dream meaning could be that you feel strong. The fact that many “less” strong individuals have to ask stronger individuals to open jars for them is a strong symbolism here. It suggests that you feel stronger than many of those around you.
If the jar is difficult to open (or you’re never able to open the darn thing!), the opposite is true. Something in your life is causing you to feel less strong than others.
An empty jar symbolizes disappointment and unrealized dreams and/or hopes.
If you dream of many jars, you probably feel overwhelmed and feel as though you have too many “positions” to “fill.’
If, on the other side of the coin, you are happy in your dream and the jars are filled, you are feeling pretty great about yourself right now!
Jaundice. If you dream you are a victim of jaundice, you have probably been overworking and are simply tired and physically “spent.”
Jelly, Jam, Jell-O. If you dream of jelly, jam, or even Jell-O, the dream symbolism is weakness. You either feel that you are being too weak and indecisive about a particular matter or that someone else is displaying these traits. Either way, it’s a great concern to you and you want the situation resolved desperately.
If you dream of spreading jelly or jam on something, your dream could symbolize a feeling of having something “covered.” If you run out of the jelly or jam before the task is completed, you fear that you don’t have it covered, so to speak… that you will come up short.
Jellyfish. To dream of a jellyfish indicates that you perceive danger but aren’t sure where to pin point it. You “feel” that it’s there, even though you don’t directly see it.
Judo. See Karate.
K
Kaleidoscope. Dreaming about a kaleidoscope indicates that you are currently dealing with changes in your life. You feel that, while the changes are overall positive, there are a lot of them to deal with at once! Usually, kaleidoscope dreams are the brain’s way of processing “colorful” (positive) changes that have been coming hard and fast.
Karate. Dreaming of any of the martial arts symbolize the dreamer’s desire to control his/her temper and/or actions. Karate (and Judo) represent discipline and control and are the dreamer’s way of reminding themselves to stay in control and discipline their lives with self-control.
Kettle. A kettle is symbolic of a happy, comfortable home in most cases. However, if the kettle is “coming to a boil” or “blowing off steam,” these actions can relate to the dreamer’s current emotions. They may feel the need to blow off steam before they explode.
Kind. When we dream that someone is uncommonly nice or kind to us, it often means someone’s kindness has recently made an impact on us. While it can suggest that the dreamer is looking for kindness, it usually is associated with someone being especially nice or kind to them in recent days. If, in our dream, we dream that we’ve been kind to someone else, it implies that we feel a recent kindness was not truly appreciated.
King. While it seems a bit of a far fetch, a King (or Queen for that matter) in your dream may represent someone else – a boss, teacher, family member, parent… basically someone with at least a little authority over you. However, this is mostly relevant to dreamers who live in a land that is currently governed by a King or Queen. For the rest of us, when we dream of royalty, it usually refers to someone who “acts like they’re a King… (Queen..)” – someone with a Royal Complex. When a King or Queen shows up in your dream, you could think of it as your mind’s way of poking fun at these highfalutin Royal wannabes!
A REMINDER: The Dream Dictionary is a very “fluid” section of Dream Prophesy, in that it is forever changing. I add dream symbols and entries to the dictionary regularly and often even “flesh out” or “add to” old entries. Why? Because symbolisms change regularly. If the exact same dreams were experienced in, say 1975 and 2015, the interpretations would be vastly different. Different things symbolize different things over time and, therefore, the meanings change. This is why outdated and “ancient” dream guides are inaccurate.
The only accurate dream dictionary or dream guide is the one frequently updated.
