Prophetic Dreams
Dream prophesy is an area that interests everyone. They are phenomena that even the most skeptical individual cannot dispute.
Dreams are, above all psychic experiences. They live outside the boundries of the ordinary and nowhere near logic. Much like the mind in which they dwell, the more you study dreams, the more intriguing they become. Although people debate the specifics of dreams on a regular basis, especially the prophetic powers of dreams, their arguments don't make the facts go away.
The Bible tells of more than a few dreams which foretold of events.....Daniel is one of the best known dream interpreters of all time. He was able to save countless lives due to his awareness of his dreams. He dreamt of an upcoming famine and told the Pharoah. Fortunately the pharoah had more belief than doubt and believed in Daniel's dreams. He was then able to act accordingly and plan for what was ahead. What would have happened if Daniel had not been in the practice of analyzing his dreams?! Or if the Pharoah was a doubter? Hundreds would have perished.
We can also look at a clear case of dream prophesy which occurred a little closer to our time. A dream which literally changed the face of history....albeit not for the better by any stretch of the imagination.
One evening in 1917, Adolf Hitler had a nightmare that he was being crushed and suffocated by debris and molten earth. He awoke suddenly and, apparently feeling trapped, ran outside for fresh air. Seconds later, a shell landed on the bunker he has just ran from, killing all of the sleeping individuals therein.
Not all dreams are life-saving, of course, but all are worth looking at. Many dreams are intended for guidance or to serve as warnings. Accurate interpretation, coupled with a scrutinizing analysis of your dreams can let you know whether the dream is actually a warning, a foretelling of good fortune, or simply a personal message. Many times our dreams are simply trying to tell us to slow down our life's pace. When we're over-stressed during our waking hours, our subconcious lets us know, in our sleeping hours, that it's time to take a deep breath and slow down.
