I had a dream of snakes one time. In fact, even though dream experts say you cannot have a dream twice, I still believe I had this dream twice. I'll give the short version of the dream and not bore with all the fine details, unless you want me to do so in another post. ok, here goes....
(This entire dream is in black and white, I usually dream in color) I find myself sitting in an old run down house. the wall, floor, celing, even the furniture, was old and worn out. I am sitting on a love seat, with no shoes on, my feet propped up on the chair. All over this house, the floor, furniture, everywhere, were every poisonous snake that exists in the world, slithering all over the place. They are slithering all over me. I remember one cobra slithering down my chest, down my leg, and biting me on the big toe. It didn't hurt though, and there was no blood. (I happen to love snakes, so I remember this dream with great fondness) I see a door with a window in it that leads outside. I look through the window and it's just and grey and dismal outside, as it is in the house. I remember thinking, "I need to get out of this house". As I think that, I see that the snakes on the floor, parted, and left a trail of bare floor, that lead out the door. I quickly jumped up, ran toward the door, and before I knew it, I was outside. I look to my right and see an old worn out bike leaning against the house. You know the one, with the goosebar handlebars and tassles, and the banana seat. The one speed bike. I pick it up and begin walking it to my right, toward the front of the house and toward the road. I get to the front porch and i see two cobras that seem to be upright, as in constant strike mode, slithering back and forth on the length of the porch. They looked like they were guarding something. I look to the other end of the porch and see an old pair of tennis shoes. I seem to know that they were my shoes, as I was still barefoot after running outside from the house. I put the kickstand down on the bike and I am determined to get those shoes. I wait till the snake's backs are toward me as they are slithering the other direction, and they are almost to my shoes. I then jump up on the porch, run toward the shoes, and quickly grab them from in front of the snakes, then turn around and run. As I'm running I notice the shoes are also old and worn out, with holes in them. I jump off the porch, grab the bike and start running toward the road. I'm pushing the bike as I'm still holding the shoes in my left hand. I get to the road and turn left. As i'm running, not riding the bike, I look behind me and see every snake that was in that house, behind me, chasing me, moving almost like how an inchworm moves. The head of the whole pack, out in front, were the two snakes on the porch, guarding my shoes. I look forward again as I'm still running, and I wake up.
It's been many years since I had this dream but i still think about it from time to time. I still remember it in great detail too. Sorry this is so long. LOL!!

hi, i had a dream about 2 snakes dis morning.1 was long & other was small but thick. in my dream, i was in a metro station, nobody was entering that station but i was not aware of the reason. having nothing in mind i went inside & saw a snake, a long one running after me, i tricked him & made it jump off the roof & boldly came outside. with no reason, i went inside that station again & saw a small one running after me. i was scared but this time, jumped from 1st floor & came outside safely. again i went in & this time, small snake was about 2 jump at me when it suddenly died.. when had a look around i saw that there was a man spraying some poison to kill snakes, i guess he was a worker there..

3 things that i have noticed in my dream are:-
1) snakes were running only after me.
2) i was entering that station again & again, when i knew that i could get hurt .
3) i was a little scared but still had the courage to confront them.

Nikki,
The fact that the snakes didn't seem to bother you indicates that you were and are at peace with something in your life that had been causing you trouble.

I had a similar type of situation myself not long ago. I HATE snakes more than anything, too... I'm terribly afraid of them. I actually think it's a phobia. I had been dreading something that I had to do online for a long time (it involved re-doing a website and I was half-afraid that it'd kill the site). As it turned out, the whole thing went perfectly well, without one single problem! That night, I had a dream about a snake that I actually liked - I even talked to the fool thing in my dream and called it "sweetie." UGH!

The fact that I overcame something that scared me sort of played out in the dream - and I think the same thing happened with you. You probably overcame something scary or had an experience that turned out to be not as bad as you thought it would be.

The missing snake (oh, Lord, can you imagine?!) indicates that you may have something ahead of you that you are also kind of worried about or apprehensive of. Good luck!

I hate snake's more then anything!! I'm very scared of them. But last night I had a dream that in my room there was 3 snake's small ones and they where under my bed. And I did not mind it at all. They never really moved or anything they would just stay curled up. And I would always check and see if they where still under my bed. But one went missing and I freaked out!! What does this all mean!!!

Paul,
Don't do that just yet! When a dream is hounding you and hounding you the best thing to do is the hardest thing to do: Don't think about it AT ALL. Right before going to bed, watch something totally engrossing - like a great movie (the first Pirates of the Caribbean, Sweeney Todd, Wanted, or one of the Bourne or Ocean movies). You know, a movie that you'll think about for a while even after it goes off.

I'd much rather you dream about pirates, Angelina Jolie, or singing murderous barbers than snakes!

We give our dreams the freedom to put themselves on repeat cycle when we dwell on them. It's tough not to do sometimes, I know. Just try to think about anything and everything else though, Paul If you like books, grab a Dean Koontz book like Odd Thomas or Watchers. He's excellent at getting inside your head.

Besides, he'll scare everything that's in there OUT!

Good luck and sweet dreams.... I'm with you, snakes are the evil.

I'm a 6'5" ex-football player (I played in highschool and college) but I am scared to death of snakes. I've been dreaming about them the past week and each night gets a little scarier. What do I have to do to make the dreams stop? I'm almost ready to just drink red bull and stay up all night.
