Thank you for this! I’m 15 years old and I had one of these dreams last night and i have felt just horrible all day. I could not get over the dream and every time i thought about it, it was so hard not to burst out into tears. Your advice is great and i love to know i’m not the only one out there like this. lol Thank you very much

I really like what this says, I lost my dad 6 months ago and I am having trouble sorting out the dreams that I am having about him every night for 2 weeks i have dreamed of him, in all of these I am suprised to see him and i talk with him for awhile and as soon as I look down or to the side, or run into the next room to get someone for them to see, he is gone, he died very suddenly and it was unexpected, but in all my dreams it seem that he is trying to tell me something could you have any idea why i am dreaming this?

I found it very comforting to read the thoughts on this page. I lost my ex husband three months ago to end stage renal disease. Although we had been divorced for many years we were close friends and my children and myself cared for him the past few years during his dialysis. We remained a family and we did what we could to give him a great quality of life. We cooked out in the yard alot, he was able to go fishing and we went on a vacation to Maryland to see our middle daughter. His death devastated me and our children and grandchildren. I spoke with my son one nite and asked if he had any dreams of Dad (because I wanted to see him in my dreams, I missed him.) My son said his father was in his dreams practically every nite. I couldnt believe it. I wanted to dream of him. Well, last nite he was in my dream. And it made me feel great to see him again. He was young and healthy and he was bathing our middle child in the kitchen sink. She was only a few months old. I heard his voice and it comforted me. Dreams can be amazing, and no matter how people interpret them, for me, it was a way to be able to be with him again. And if the dream was from GOD, I am forever grateful.

I lost my sister when I was 18 and she was 21. She had been sick with cancer for 6 years. She was my best friend! I had dreams every night for about 2 months after her passing. It was usually in a phone booth, and I was talking to her from heaven. She assured me that I would be just fine and that she was happy and painfree. At the time I thought it was her communicating through my dreams, but I since studied and learned that dreams are from God, so it was God comforting me. Once reality set in and I knew she would NOT be coming through our door again, the dreams ended. I have a good and gracious God! Think about it and ask yourself, is this from God? you will more than likely realize IT IS!

I’m still having trouble understanding what some of the dreams may mean..

I lost my 13 month old daughter.. after battling a rare brain disorder.. that didn’t even show signs until she was 4 months old.. she was born at a healthy 8lbs and developed fine until that awful night she had a seizure.. we were in and out of the hospitals.. even went to harvard for months.. 10 surguries, multiple meds a day, ot, pt, speech therapy.. hell basically.. but I thought she would be special needs and I would care for her forever.. which I was fine with.. I had her with me.. I have a 8 yr old son.. healthy.. they were almost 6 yrs apart.. she died after being out of the hospital 2 and a half months.. which was a record for us.. 3 days before death she rolled over half way.. the day she died I rocked her chest to chest for a hour until she was gone… now I’m coming up on the 2nd anniversary.. last night I had a dream my boyfriend and I were looking at a house to buy, walked in one room and there she was.. in her crib.. the same size she was at 13 months, but healthy, smiling… I ran to pick her up.. I felt her! And I felt my body exhale.. like these last 2 yrs were a bad dream.. and now its like the wounds are completly fresh again… why! Why has this dream tricked my body like I’m ok… bc I’m not!

Thank You So much, you have made me more aware of reality and not to be afraid of living because of my loss. I feel peace surround me now in my wonder. I miss my Grandpa O and I love him everyday. He is a person who I always looked up to. He passed when I was 15 and now at 22 I have been having more and more dreams about him. They make happy to make me relive his memory. But I miss him more because of these dreams. I love when he visits me and hugs me tight like he used to in my dreams. He told me in the first dream with that familiar voice of his that whenever I feel the wind surround me, It’s him giving me protection. I will never forget these dreams as I hope the good ones with him visiting do occur whenever he wants to visit. I am named after him and I feel nothing but honor I feel connected to him stronger because of it. I Love and Miss him forever beyond.

hiya jus wondering if you could tell me a bit more as my partner lost her grandmother about 8 years ago now and she has recently started having dreams where she keeps seeing her but as soon as she sees her she wakes up instantly she has even started doing double takes on random people in the street because she thought it was her grandmother many thanks!!

Thanks for sharing this information. I lost my uncle to end stage liver disease about 8 months ago and I had a dream with, but this dream was like no other. Your views and thoughts helped me understand why it could be that I’m having these dreams.

Just as you are for-sure that you have connected with loved ones in the wakeing hours…I am sure of my connections with passed loved ones in my dreams, as I have also had experiences while fully awake.
Soon after my grandparents passed away; with-in a year of each other, I did indeed welcome a visit from them in a dream. It lasted only moments….my grandmother assured me of Heaven, and let me know that I would be “okay”. I also had a brief visit from a dear friend that was taken far too soon, and tragically.
I know there are others who have had these ‘visits”. Most likely you do not share them because someone wants to make you believe they are only the mind at work while in this state. I would never dispute anyone who is brave enough to talk of them…sleeping or not!
