Dream Primer
We don't have to spend any time telling you how fascinating dreams are or extoll the rewards of dream analysis. After all, you're reading an article on a website titled Dream Prophesy, you obviously "get it"!
We will say that this is one of the most incredible, yet often overlooked studies in the world. Amazingly, many people have the wrong impression about dream prophesy. As dreamologists we aren't into voodoo or "creepy", unspeakable mystical practices. We study dreams. We learn from dreams. We're amused, entertained and enlightened by dreams. We don't put mojos on anyone or take mojos from anyone.
Okay, rant over. There are a few things we want everyone to keep in mind when it comes to studying dreams. This is not an exact science. If you look out your window tomorrow afternoon, you may see a cardinal. The cardinal is a vertebrate. There are over 8,000 species of birds. His bones and skull are very light, allowing him to be able to fly. He is the state bird of several states, including Kentucky, North Carolina, West Virginia and Ohio. These are facts, as bird study is an exact science. There will not be a variable of any sort that will take your cardinal and make him an invertebrate. He won't wake up tomorrow and be the state bird of Louisiana. (The brown pelican wouldn't appreciate that.)
Do you see what, in a round about way, we're trying to say? Just approach dream study with open eyes, and an open mind.
Also, when it comes to dreams, know that symbolisms are frequently used by the unconcious mind. And to make matters trickier, often different people have different symbols! For me, a cup of coffee might symbolize paradise and relaxation, but for someone who has been scalded recently, it might symbolize danger.
When analyzing a dream, you also should keep in mind that you have to look at all the different aspects of the dream. Did you know that the colors in your dream can alter the meaning all together? There are just so many tangibles one has to take into consideration! It is all more than worth it, however, and after a while you'll be a total pro. We just want you to be cautious in the beginning and not to place an undue amount of weight on your dreams.
We do not say it throughout the site, because we'd sound like a broken record, but always, always keep in mind that you control your own destiny. You and you alone. Even if you have a dream that, after very close and careful analysis, is telling you that you will soon have conflict in your life, the amount of conflict is up to you. While the conflict could, indeed, be an argument with a loved one, it could just as easily be a conflict in your mind over what to have for supper.
Even if it panned out that an argument did ensue, the dream may serve as an admonition for you to do your part to keep the dispute very brief and not to overreact. This is one of those places where dream study can help you sooooo much. They let you know what may lie ahead, so you'll be ready for it. You get to prepare your mind and kind of get a headstart on everyone else. Cool, right?!
One last thing, we do wax like a broken record in one regard throughout the site, we are always admonishing you to contact us if you ever have any questions. We aren't just saying that because we think it sounds nice, we really and truly want you to e-mail or aim us if you have any concerns or questions AT ALL. Maybe you've had a really odd dream you want interpreted, that's our "thang", we'd be delighted to do so. Dreams are to us like catnip is to our cats!

If you want absolute privacy, write your dream down on a piece of paper, mail it to us, and we'll address the dream on the website. We're working on a page where specific dreams will be interpreted, and we're needing more dreams as it is! Your name wouldn't be included, heck you don't even have to tell it to us in the first place.
It bears repeating, you control your own destiny. Let that tune play in the background of your mind throughout the site. You. Control. Your. Own. Destiny.
