Dreams are often thoughts you don’t have time to think about during the day.
On Dream Prophesy.com and the Dream Prophesy blog we spend a great deal of time telling you what dreams mean, so I like to from time to time remind you of the importance of these dreams.
Your mind is the control center of your body. Everything about you, including your emotions and personality live in your brain! So, if you are seeking self knowledge, self help, or self fulfillment - there’s no better place to start than in your own mind. Makes sense, right?
The problem is that very often we’re so busy THINKING and DOING during the day, some of our mind’s “messages” are overlooked. You can think of these messages as “hidden clues” into what’s going on in your psyche. Dreams can let you know if you’re more stressed than you realize, if you’re carrying anger or resentment you didn’t know you still had, and even if your body has something wrong, pysically. Dreams can send signals to you about just about everything in your life. Reading through the dream analysis posts on this blog will give you an idea of what I’m talking about.
A dream which is not interpreted is like a letter which is not read. _ The Talmund

First of all, I apologize for the lack of posts lately. My mom passed away last month, so needless to say, my mind and heart have been elsewhere!
However, I’ve learned that life does indeed continue, even after a crushing heartbreak and devastating loss. So, I’m back at work (even though my office is in my home, I hadn’t realy been here).
There are a few absolutely excellent articles you’ll want to check out - they’re linked below and I recommend them wholeheartedly. You’ll get a lot out of them.

I just noticed, it’s time to change my graphic at the top, isn’t it? The penguin was perfect when there was snow on the ground, but now that spring flowers have sprung, she’s kind of inappropriate!
Take care, and tell everyone you love that you love them muchly!

WHAT IS LUCID DREAMING?
Lucid dreams are simply dreams in which the dreamer is aware that he/she’s dreaming. They are so majestic and sensational that the dreamer’s mind tells them, “This couldn’t be real….it must be a dream.” These dreams even tend to be more vibrant and intense than regular dreams, which is why they’re called “lucid dreams”.
You can actually even develop the skill of lucid dreaming! It’s alot like learning a new language….except it’s easier and arguably funner. The two main prerequisites are motivation and effort. You have to begin with patience and perseverence, but you can develop the ability. (Click Here to Continue Article!)

Let’s take the most common type of daydream first, worry.
We all know this one on a first name basis. Your loved one is 15 minutes late and your thoughts run to negativity like a moth to light. If he or she were an hour late, anyone would be concerned, but if 15 minutes is all it takes to call out the negativity patrol, it would pay to take a closer look at yourself and why this is so. We all know how fascinating and fun dreams are to talk about and to put under our mental microscopes - but have you ever stopped to think about how many people have found the pearl in their oyster BECAUSE of a dream or dreams? Lewis Carroll’s classic “Alice in Wonderland” was actually inspired by a dream the author had. It has become one of the best-loved books and films ever and if not for a dream, it would never have existed!
Here’s another, even more amazing example:
“Chemist Friedfrich Kekule had been working to understand the structure of the benzene molecule. One night, in 1865, he fell asleep and dreamed of the atoms dancing. They formed a snake and, before he knew it, the head of the snake bit its own tail, forming a ring.
Professor Kekule, inspired by his dream of the circular snake-ring, hypothesized that the benzene molecule was a ring. He was correct and this discovery was a huge leap for organic chemistry.” (From “Complete Idiots Guide to Interpreting Your Dreams” - offensive name but awesome book!)
Below is a list of other well-known dreamers who did some of their best work while asleep!
Salvador Dali
Orson Welles
Amy Tan
Steve Allen
William Blake
William Butler Yeats
Robert Louis Stevens
C.S. LewisEmily Bronte
Edgar Allen Poe
T.S. Eliot
Percy Bysshe Shelley
Mary Shelley
LUdwig van Beethoven
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Anne Rice
Maya Angelou
Henry David Thoreau
There are, of course, countless others who’ve been inspired by their dreams! I would imagine that a great many authors have had characters and plots “created” within their dreams.
