Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes!

Writing by Joi on Tuesday, 1 of August , 2006 at 11:39 am

As you can see, the blog has a new vibe - new graphics, new colors, etc. I’m also going to begin posting more frequently. I get a TON of e-mail from people who want Private dream analysis and interpretations, so I stay busy with this blog (in addition to my other 11!) But I’ve always feel bad that this blog goes a week without a post. So, I’m going to make a point of writing more articles and finding more great information - as well as continuing to post the amazing dreams that are submitted regularly. Please keep them coming! When you submit a dream to be analyzed on the blog, chances are very good that it’ll help someone else with a similar dream.

A few other things I wanted to point out:

1. I love all the follow-up e-mails! It does me a world of good to hear about the instances I’ve been of help 0r as many of you refer to it as being “dead on.” I’d LOVE it, also, if you’d leave comments after the posts - again, I think this is something that could help others.

2. See the bright Home Depot Orange RSS button to the right? If you add this blog to your RSS reader, you’ll be notified of updates as soon as they happen. This is especially good if you’ve submitted a dream, or like reading the ones that are submitted. Having an RSS feed alerts you as soon as I post.

3. Haven’t gotten around to downloading a FREE RSS Reader? You can still be alerted to updates! Just sign up with the form to the right - enter your e-mail and you’ll get notified by e-mail when there are new posts.

Thanks so much for all of your input, dreams, e-mails, and MOST OF ALL for the trust you put in me. I’m honored.

If you have dream you’d like analyzed, please use the contact form below and I’ll get to it asap. And be sure you sign up for the RSS feed or the E-mail alerts before leaving!

Have an awesome day and the sweetest of dreams,
Joi

Dream Analysis: Dog Dreams!

Writing by Joi on Saturday, 12 of November , 2005 at 8:48 am

This week we received a dream analysis request from a dreamer who’s dreams were going to the dogs! The dreamer wanted to know what it meant to dream of dogs - specifically black and white dogs.

First of all, when the colors black and white appear together in our dreams, it’s a symbol of balance. Balance between good and bad, work and play, happy and sad, etc.

When we dream of these colors, it’s telling us one of two things about our lives :

1. That we are in a “good place” in our lives, and so long as we maintain our balance, there’s no reason for this to change. Or…

2. Our lives aren’t as joyous as they could be or should be, and the reason is a lack of balance in our own personal world.

While the dreamer is, ultimately, the only one who can tell which of the two apply to them, a dreamologist will look at the other happenings or symbols in the dream for the clues.

In this particular dream, the dogs provide the answers. Dogs are a very positive sign, as they symbolize loyalty, playfulness, youthfulness and fun.

Fortunately, this dream indicates that our dreamer not only has these traits, but has a wonderfully balanced life as well.

Thanks so much for submitting your dream!!!

Dream Request: Small Houses and the Ocean

Writing by Joi on Wednesday, 2 of November , 2005 at 9:44 am

Hello, I was wondering if you could help me with a dream. I have not been remembering my dreams for the last 6 months. Last night, on Halloween, I dreamt of the ocean. A small house. Very small house. Inside the house there was a small kitchen in which there was enough counter space to actually set up for a dinner like a restaurant. Also the bedroom was very, very small once you went around the bed you could go down a small flight of stairs to a deck that was right on the water. The waves were high, smashing into the deck just about reaching the door. I had gone out the door to see the ocean at night and saw the wave coming to crash into the house and shut the door quickly. There was a couple that I cannot remember what they looked like, but they allowed me into the house. They told me that I should have known it was high tide.

Fascinating symbolism! You mentioned small several times, so this was a very important aspect of the dream. If we recall certain dream details vividly, they’re the ones that our subconcious is really trying to draw attention to.

The ocean is used as a direct contrast to the smallness of the house. Your dreaming mind came up with a great symbol to represent vast, openness, and unending.

Another important part of the dream is the house itself. In dreams, houses symbolize the very core of our being - our spirit.

The fact that the house in your dream was so uncommonly small tells us that you might be feeling “closed in” or “weighed down” by a particular situation. It’s the sort of feeling that many of us get when there’s something we want to do (such as go to college, buy a house, change jobs, etc…) but for whatever reasons are unable to.

Your mind is aware that there’s something out there looming large (the ocean), but circumstances have you (the house!) closed in.

The most fascinating thing of all is the couple. I believe that because of their “You should’ve known..” attitude, they are a sign to you that you know (deep inside) how to make your dreams come true, no matter how huge they seem.

Thanks for submitting your dream! And good luck chasing after your “ocean” - I believe you’ll get there.

Dream Request: Elevator Escape

Writing by Joi on Tuesday, 1 of November , 2005 at 8:26 am

I had a dream a couple of days ago of me being in an elevator. The elevator stopped, and I was scared, it didn’t move so I pressed the emergency button. All of a sudden, the door opened and there was a shoot I had to go through….then I woke up. Can you explain this? Thank you.

I’m always fascinated by action dreams - they seem like little movies our minds produce, casting us in the lead roles!

The most important aspect of this dream isn’t the elevator as much as it is the escape.

When we dream of situations from which we escape, it’s an indication that there is something in our REAL world which we want to avoid. It could also mean that we want to move away from (escape) a situation that’s already present.

There are some dream analysts who believe that escape dreams are most often experienced by dreamers who had unhappy childhoods and have, subsequently, spent their adult lives trying to escape from the memories. Personally, I think this would only be the case if the escape dreams are recurring, as in 3 or more times a week. I feel for certain that the occasional escape dream deals only with the present.

Thank You for submitting your dream!

More Dream Analysis

Writing by Joi on Wednesday, 14 of September , 2005 at 1:31 pm

We recently had a catastrophe with our e-mail/contact system wherein a few dreams e-mailed to us were entirely lost. We hate it so BADLY and tried relentlessly to recover them, until we finally realized they were as gone as last week!

So we re-did our entire set-up, which took us about two days. That sort of thing will never happen again now. All in all, I think we lost two individual’s dreams, as we had all ready responded to all of the others. The last two were requiring a little further research. We would absolutely LOVE to hear from the two dreamers again.
Also, remember, unless you state in your message that you’d rather it be answered privately, we post the dreams here on the blog (WITHOUT NAMES, of course) and analyze them for everyone’s benefit. We get a lot of dreams e-mailed to us directly at dreamprophesy.com that we just respond to in e-mail.
HOWEVER, if you’d like yours interpreted on the blog, please fill in the contact form below - and we’ll get it taken care of within 24 hours….now that everything is working properly!!!
