ive recently written to you about reoccuring dreams, where my hero, gerard way
had apperard either playing songs to me or chating, in each dream he remembered
me from the last dream saying like hey your that girl from last dream or
something, every time i tried to ask him a question hed get all quiet and upset
and wouldnt answer, he always had his outfit of black hair and a black suit
which he wore to the concert i saw him in. i hadnt had any dreams of him in ages
till last night when i dreamt i was eating dinner with him, frank and mikey, two
guys in the band. i was having a fun time laughing with frank about things and
mikey was politly smiling on, but everytime we looked to gerard he was even more
upset then ever, always looking down or hopping off for a smoke outside, he
didnt speak to me at all and he had blonde hair. which was what he had a few
months before when i saw him live. it was really disturbing and i felt kind of
like a kid at an adults table with him. frank was tring to make me feel
comfortable but gerard was too upset to even acknowledge me. what does it all
mean?

This sort of dream can be very confusing and frustrating for a dreamer, but they’re very common. Your dream represents conflict of some sort. It could be a disagreement with a friend or family member’s opinion or choice(s), a conflict of emotions, or even a conflict of opinions (maybe there’s something you simply can’t make your mind up about). Keep in mind, the “disagreement” with someone doesn’t have to be a full out argument - you could simply disagree (within your own mind, without saying anything) with something someone has recently done.

For example, I heard a few times from a woman who was having these sorts of dreams and, it turns out, the conflict was stemming from a girl her brother was recently dating. She loved her little brother very much and KNEW that this girl was playing him. Everytime she tried to tell him, though, he just wouldn’t listen. In the end: the girlfriend messed up, the brother wised up, he told his sister he’d always listen to her in the future - and the frustrating dreams went away.

We all have people, places, or things, that our minds will frequently use in our dreams. It’s sort of like an artist using a favorite subject over and over. Many artists paint flowers frequently, others put animals in just about every painting. Even authors have their favorite muses - you can almost always count on a John Grisham book including lawyers and the judicial system and Dean Koontz has never, to my knowledge, had a book without a dog in it.

Your mind uses these musicians frequently because they’re very close to your heart and mind. I dream often of my family and cats…..my cats often talk in my dreams which never fails to freak me out!

The way that Gerard behaved in the dream symbolizes conflict. On the one hand, things were brilliantly blissful - you were sitting with them while one was being very friendly. Then, there was one being somewhat friendly, then there was Gerard. This indicates that your mind is pretty much all over the place about something. Even his hair color indicates a contradiction… “It isn’t like it used to be.”

This would suggest that your conflict comes from a recent change…something isn’t like it used to be. The fact that one of the members was so friendly and warm indicates that this change isn’t ALL bad - at least something about it is agreeable. However, part of you is bothered, or ALL of the band members would have been friendly in your dream. The fact that it was your main man that was the rude one indicates that you have a lot of misgivings involved in the conflict.

It reminds me of the sort of dream one would have after a recent break up - one in which they know it’s for the best, but letting go of the past is difficult. This sort of dream would also arise from starting a new job or moving to a new house. It could, also, be as simple as a recent haircut!

The band will probably always be a fixture in your dreams - but what they do will change along with what’s going on in your real life. Looking into what they’re doing, why they’re doing it, and what they’re trying to tell you is a brilliant way to gain some insight into your life.

Best of luck and thanks so much for sharing your dream!
