A pretty interesting dream came through our e-mail yesterday. The dreamer wanted to know what it meant to dream of losing one’s virginity.
Dreams of sex actually speak more of relationships than they do of the sex, itself. Dreaming about sex indicates that the dreamer has very strong relationships in his or her life. These relationships are very important to him/her.
Dreaming of losing anything in dreams generally means the dreamer is looking for something or missing something in their life.
So, if we put the two prophesies together - I’d have to say that the dreamer has either recently lost an important relationship, is afraid of losing one, or is simply looking for a new friend!

MONKEYS
Dreaming of monkeys is a sign of the dreamer’s inner child, more specifically of the inner child’s desire to have more fun!
“Ancient” dream guides suggest that dreaming of monkeys indicate false friends. I have no idea where that determination came from, but I respectfully disagree with it because monkeys have absolutely no negative symbolism.
Monkeys=Fun! So dreaming of them seems to indicate that the dreamer is desirous of a little more play in their life and possibly a little less work.
It’s a wonder all of us don’t dream of monkeys more often.

Today we got an e-mail from a dreamer who fequently dreams of cats.
Cats are generally a good sign in dreams. Dreamologists have long believed them to be good omens - bringing with them harmony and good luck. Dream analysts draw a line between dreams about cats and dreamers who are very content with their life.
HOWEVER, she said that in her dreams the cats were trying to get in her home. This indicates that something in the dreamer’s life is troubling her, trying to “bring her down”. However, she is fighting it off and for the most part is succeeding. Even though the cats in the dream are the ones who are “trying to get at” the dreamer, they actually represent the dreamer’s happiness.
She also mentioned that water was often present in these dreams. All of the symbols fall together and fit beautifully. The water represents change. So, within the dreams, we have the dreamer’s life and happiness (the cats), potential trouble and strife (the fact that something was “moving in on” the dreamer’s space). Finally, we have the change (water) that the dreamer knows will be required if the looming, potential trouble is to be avoided.
Thanks for sharing your dreams with us!

FOXES.
Dreaming of foxes (unfortunately!) indicates that you may not be as in control of a situation as you think you are. In at least one area of your life, you have outsmarted yourself and out-thought yourself.
This dream encourages you to find the area in question and re-work your mojo.
FROGS.
Frogs are generally a sign of good luck in every area of your life.
However, if in the dream, you are “put off” by their appearance or fear they’ll give you warts - the dream prophesy is as follows:
There is something in your life that’s caousing you great unhappiness. You try to push it out of your mind, but you can’t. It’s time to stop denying the unhappiness and do something about it.

ELEPHANTS.
Elephants are very good omens in dreams. More than anything else, they symbolize wealth and respect.
The dream analysis is that money and the respect of others are equally important to you. You work very hard to attain both.
The dream prophesy is that all that hard work will pay off in ways you never expected.
Of course, as I said under the Dolphin’s caption, sometimes we simply dream of a favorite animal. Also, it’s worth noting that if we associate an animal with a loved one, the animal may show up in a dream representing the person. My sister in law, who was tragically killed in an accident a few years back, absolutely loved elephants. In the time since, if she’s ever on my mind - for example if I remember something funny she said (She was a character), or if I’ve been going through pictures - I’ll dream of elephants. Mind you, she didn’t look at all like one of these animals (!!!), but she did collect elephant figurines, by the hundreds. Maybe thousands.

DEER.
It’s all about the love. Dreams of deer relate to your love life.
If the deer are running along, strife (however small) exists in your love life. It will lead to a quarrel sooner rather than later.
If you dream of petting a deer, you are lacking affection, as well as attention, from your loved one. If the situation doesn’t change, you’ll begin to feel less and less important to him or her and will be tempted to find attention from another source.
DOLPHINS.
Adventure! That’s what’s usuallylying ahead of the dreamer who dreams about dolphins. I say usually because if they are a favorite animal (as they are for me), you may dream of them frequently simply because you like their faces!
Interestingly, if you dream of a dolphin out of water (or for that matter, ANY animal out of it’s normal habitat), the dream prophesy is that soon something or someone that’s in place in your life will soon be out of place. This could mean a loss of friendship, an employee quitting, the breakup of a courtship, somone moving away, etc. Fortunately, most of the time it means the misplacing of something material as in your keys or a favorite book.

We recently recieved a dream request from a dreamer who had dreamt of an old house. (Thanks, by the way for submitting the dream - this is where we have the most fun!)
In dreams, houses generally speak of the dreamer, themself. For example, when someone dreams of a new house, they are almost always going through a new process of some sort in their lives. (Either a new job, new diet, new attitude, etc.)
To dream of an old house indicates one of two things:
Either the dreamer has recently overcome something from their past, or
There’s something in the dreamer’s past that they are aren’t letting go of.
A lot would depend upon the “atmosphere” and “feeling” of the dream. If the dream felt unhappy, more than likely there’s something in the past that the dreamer is feeling either guilty, remoresful, hurt or sad about. It could be a lost relative or a lost friendship. As we head toward the holidays, people begin to miss people from their past even more than ever - so this is a possibility.
If the dream felt happy and positive, the dreamer may have recently broken an old habit or made peace with something from the past that had bothered them.
I absolutely love delving into HOUSE dreams because they are so amazingly personal.
Thanks again for sending your dream in!

Sleep is a process that’s broken down into four distinct stages.
During the first stage, the sleeper begins to relax and drifts in and out of a light doze, from which they’re easily awakened.
Real sleep begins to come in the second stage - but even then the sleeper can be awakened fairly easily.
The third stage of sleep is when we enter the state of deep relaxation and can only be awakened by being shaken or hearing a loud noise.
During the fourth stage of sleep, much of our daily output of growth hormone takes place - very important because this aids the process of repairing our body tissue.
When stage four has been completed, the process is reversed - but rather than waking up when the sleeper is “back at one”, he or she enters a new phase known as REM (Rapid Eye Movement). It’s during this stage that most of our dreams are dreamt.
When REM sleep ends, the sleeper returns to stage one and the whole cycle is repeated - usually four or five times a night. Each complete cycle takes a little longer than an hour and a half.
The length of REM sleep increases with every cycle - the major muscle groups seeming to become almost paralysed each time the sleeper enters the phase. (A lot of researchers believe that this is the body’s way of protecting itself from injury or uncontrolled movements during sleep).
People who are deprived of REM sleep are unable to concentrate on even the most routine tasks and become overly emotional, overly sensitive, grumpy and even suffer memory loss.

DOGS
Dogs are one of the most popular animals in dreams. The dog, itself, isn’t what’s significant. It’s what the dog does or how he behaves that counts.
If the dog is friendly, the dreamer has a tight circle of loyal friends. However, if the dog is aggressive or at all unfriendly, strife and conflict are present within your circle - and you probably don’t even realize how bad it is.
Bulldogs carry a special meaning in dreams - they speak to the loyal, trustworthy nature of the dreamer.

CATTLE
Cattle, for reasons beyond me, represents money in dreams. When a cow shows up in your dream, it indicates that finances, for one reason or another, have been in the forefront of your mind.
The dream doesn’t really deal with the money, itself, as much as it deals with the dreamer’s attitude toward it. When cattle make an appearance in your dreams, the analysis is as follows:
Whether you are comfortable, financially, or come up short (like most people!) - this dream is telling you that you place too much importance on money. If you have alot, perhaps you tend to be overly proud or are, at times, selfish with it. If you don’t have as much as you want, you may spend too much time chasing after what you believe will be a better life.
In either case, the dream is telling you to take a minute and look at what is really important in life. Prioritize the things in your life, and you’ll realize that money shouldn’t be even in the top 3.
