BITTER.
To dream of eating or drinking something bitter means that you have surpressed emotions. There is something in your life that you have yet to deal with. Personally, I think it’s a case of your unconcious mind telling you that you “have a bad taste in your mouth”!
If you dream of bitterness, either on your part or another’s, it speaks of feelings you have not dealt with. You are harboring resentment for something you feel wasn’t fair to you. The dream is a sign to you that bitterness is indeed ugly and you should steer as far from it as possible. Open your eyes to what is causing the bitterness, then close your eyes to the lingering effects. Let it go, for your own peace of mind.
BLACK.
In the world of dreams, the color black is held to be an unlucky color. It actually is at the bottom of “lucky colors” with red leading the list.
BLAME.
To dream that you have been wrongly accused of something is a sign of upcoming luck and happiness.
To dream that you’ve been blamed for something which you DID indicates a little bit of guilt floating around in your psyche.
BLANKET.
Blankets are symbols, in dreams, for security and comfort. You’re in a good place right now and will continue to be for the near future. Arguments, chaos and stress are far removed from you right now. Enjoy!
BLEEDING.
Bleeding carries with it a warning of an upcoming “unpleasanty” - such as a brief illness, a problem of some sort, or an argument. However, it also carries with it a promise that all will turn out well if you don’t overreact.
BLIND.
To dream of a blind person foretells of friends who will soon need your help.
To dream that you, yourself, are blind, means that you need to start executing greater caution in your life. You tend to take too many risks, and this could be something that could pull the rug out from underneath you. Realize that there’s a great deal of wisdom dwelling within the word caution.

Out of Bounds!

BEST MAN (or BRIDESMAID)
To dream of a member of a wedding party indicates that love is on your mind! To be more specific, commitment is something you are thinking a lot about.
The tricky part of this dream is that it means one of two things….two things that are polar opposites! It means either that you are afraid of commitment or that you are major-ly ready for commitment. Only you can say for sure - by taking a nice long look into your psyche’s mirror!
BET.
This sort of a dream indicates at least one upcoming risk. The risk isn’t necessarily a physical one, but since it is possible, exercise caution in the coming 48 hours or so.
BIBLE.
Dreaming of a Bible is a foreboding of peace, joy and a very pleasant surprise.
BICYCLE.
A dream with a bicycle means the dreamer will be faced with a difficult decision in the coming days. If the rider has a wreck, the decision will not go smoothly.
If the rider is not holding onto the handlebars, it indicates that your confidence is strong (and with good reason). Keep the attitude, it’ll carry you far.
BILL.
Dreaming of paying, or even receiving, bills is a good omen. Your financial situation will be improving soon.
BILLIARDS.
To dream of a billiard game is a warning of trouble to come as a result of your carelessness.

Dreams are lived and relived…told and re-told…remembered and forgotten…laughed over and cried over….accepted as the gospel truth and rejected as utter nonsense. They are credited with influencing the future and praised as shedding light on the present. They have been the inspiration for literally countless books, paintings and other works of art. They are said to drive men and women to take action when nothing else will move them.

But they’ve never been - nor will they ever be - ignored.

BED.
A bed is one of the Dream Symbols of HOME. We very rarely experience the presence of a bed unless we are in our own home environment.
To dream of a symbol of home indicates that home, or family, matters have been weighing on your mind more of late. More likely than not, they were even in your last thoughts before sleep moved in.
Since the bed is a symbol of your home life, it’s important to look at the condition of the bed in your dream. THIS is how you perceive your home life at this time. If the bed was neat, well-made and pretty, you feel that your home life is “together” right now.
If the bed is unmade and messy, you’re troubled by something at home that is below your expectations. Just as a bed can be made-up, your mind is telling you to do all you can to patch up what is wrong at home.
Be on guard for this exception: There have been cases where a person will dream a REVERSE version of the Bed dream. For example, their home life is actually in really bad shape, but they’ll dream of a well-made bed. In this case, their mind is conjuring up how it WISHES his or her life were. Usually, when this happens, the home life of the dreamer is in near shambles, at least at the moment. It will be obvious to the dreamer what the dream is speaking of.
BEE.
Bees, due to their “busy” reputation, are a symbol of work. Their presence in a dream indicates that the dreamer is either working very hard or has hard work ahead. This sort of dream serves as an encouraging pat on the back. It also comes at a time when the dreamer may be tempted to slow down or slack off. Your unconscious mind is telling you to keep on keeping on and not slow down. After all, most STOPS start out as a SLOW DOWN!
BEEF.
In the ancient dream prophesies, due to circumstances of the day, beef represented great wealth. Today, while it does indicate contentment and comfort, great wealth is no longer the main interpretation. However, beef does speak of an above average comfort zone, even today.
Most food speaks of comfort and pleasant feelings, simply because we’re often in our most peaceful frame of mind while eating.
BEER.
To dream of beer speaks off an upcoming, or recent, disappointment. Someone has either recently betrayed you or will do so in the coming days. The betrayal may be slight or it may be huge.
If the betrayal has already happened, the dream is admonishing the dreamer to realize it. If it has not yet happened, the dream is putting the dreamer on guard. It may not be too late to prevent the betrayal. Often, a kind word at just the right time can alter the strongest of courses.
BEETS.
For reasons that aren’t entirely clear to us, beets indicate that you’ve recently overachieved in some area of your life. You have, in baseball terminology, hit a grand slam, and your dream is keeping score!
The dream serves, not only to cheer you on, but to implore you to remember what you did to achieve success and to DO IT AGAIN!
BEGGAR.
If you help the beggar, by giving him/her money or assistance - the omen is unbelievably good. For the coming months, you’ll have the Midas touch, turning most everything into gold. The dream tells of your generosity and compassion.
On the other hand, if you try to ignore the beggar in your dream, you are experiencing problems with trust lately. The dream doesn’t represent a lack of generosity as much as it does a lack of trust. Events in your life have hardened you, somewhat, and you tend to be suspicious of others motives. Before these “events” you would have handed over plenty to the beggar, but now you inwardly doubt his/her motives. Very rarely does this dream speak of selfishness or anything of that nature. It all comes down to trust.
However, if you harm the beggar in anyway, or bring shame to him/her, the dream IS pointing out a lack of compassion and understanding. Your conscious mind is trying to get your attention and chip away at the ice forming on your heart. The mind remembers when you weren’t this way, and wants to see you return to your better self.
If you ARE the beggar in your dream, your mind is telling you that things aren’t as dire as you believe them to be. It, basically, is getting sarcastic with you! Gotta love it.
BELL.
A bell indicates “relief”. You have either had a situation take a turn for the better or something you had been dreading came off better than you anticipated.
The dream could also be prophetic and foretell that something you are presently dreading will come off without a hitch.
BENCH.
Dreaming of a bench speaks of acquaintances. This could be family, friends, neighbors or co-workers. They have been on your mind of late - for reasons that only you would know of. The bench is a symbol for “togetherness”, and is telling you one of several things:
It could be a symbol for you to work things out with someone you’re on the outs with. The admonition is for you to sit down with this person and not get back up until all the issues are ironed out. Life’s way too short for allowing distances between you and other people. Shorten the distance immediately.
The bench could also be pleading with you to slow down and spend more time with those who matter most. Often, a bench represents a park in our minds, and would (in turn) speak of relaxation and fun. Your mind could be letting you know that you need a little of each!

BARN.
Dreaming of a barn primarily indicates financial success, but it also foretells of a role you will soon play in another’s life. They will ask for your advice or opinion and will act upon it. Because of you, their life will be enriched greatly.
If you live in the city but frequently dream of barns and other symbols of the country, you seem to be in need of, if not a move, at least a vacation. You may actually LOVE the city life, but need to get away for a while - even if it’s just a weekend.
A burning barn foretells of bad news. Down deep inside, you’re expecting it, hence the dream in the first place.
If you dream of building a barn, you have got alot on your proverbial plate and you’re beginning to feel the strain. You’re more than up for the task(s) but, at times, feel overwhelmed. Don’t forget to take needed breaks, your sanity will appreciate it!
BARREL.
The prophesy depends upon the barrel’s contents. If the barrel is empty, beware of the motives of others - ESPECIALLY those who seem the most sincere!
If the barrel is full, at least one of your fondest wishes is about to be realized.
BASEBALL.
Dreaming of baseball, baseball players or any symbols of the game indicate that you are in a very happy, content place in your life. Your future is just as bright as your presence.
BASKET.

For the flying animal, the interpretation is generally unfavorable. The bat indicates a brief period of darkness in your near future. You’ll come through to the bright side again, stronger than ever before. The “darkness” could simply be a disagreement with a friend, a co-worker, or family member.
BATHING.
If you’re aware that you’re bathing in warm water, there is a misunderstanding in the near future. You will misunderstand another’s intentions OR they will misundertand yours.
If the main thing you realize about the water is that it is clear, clean and beautiful - the omen is a good one.
BATTLE.
Dreaming of some sort of a battle indicates pretty much what you’d expect. You have internal feelings that you haven’t fully dealt with. You’re feeling resentment, anger, or just plain pain as a result of something another has done. You need to address this, in your own mind - and, if necessary, with the other person. This dream is letting you know that if you don’t take care of your feelings right now, a quarrel is just ahead.
BEADS.
If you dream of beads, they indicate a strong desire on your part to keep SOMETHING together. This holds true if you dream of links or chains as well. Whether you’re working to keep a relationship together, your family’s harmony, or even YOURSELF (emotionally). You’ve been worried lately about this area “coming apart”. You are doing all that you can, but wonder if you could be doing more. More likely than not, things are now out of your hands. Keep doing all that you’re able to, but don’t stress out anymore. If things are on your mind so much that you’re dreaming in this manner, you’ve been stressing too much.
BEANS.
A dream of beans indicates present or future trouble within one of your friendships. The dream is warning you not to overreact, everything will work out in the end.
BEAR.
A bear making an appearance in your dream indicates trouble in your life. Something is bothering you more than you are letting on, even to yourself. Bears are a symbol of trouble, so if you are CERTAIN the omen isn’t in the present, then rest assured trouble is waiting for you in the near future.
BEAUTY.
Dreaming of anything or anyone beautiful is an excellent omen. Peace, harmony, happiness, and much laughter lie ahead.

All Handhelds

BALLOON.
To dream of any type of balloon symbolizes your hopes. If the balloon is full - you have reason to expect your fondest hopes to be fulfilled.
If the balloon is deflated, or bursts, the omen is not a good one. Something you currently spend alot of time hoping for will not come to pass.
If you dream of a hot air balloon, your hopes will soon “shift” into another, even better direction.
BANANA.
Bananas, like all fruit and vegetables, indicate good health - now and in the future. However, they also have somewhat of a “playful” symbolism. Associated strongly with monkeys (who always want to have a good time!), as well as being another way of saying crazy, bananas are fun, light-hearted objects.
It’s probable that you need more levity and fun in your life. Lately people take you too seriously, mistakenly thinking that you’re “all business”. Let them see your other side, never put a lid on a good time!
BANK.
Dreaming of a bank indicates that money matters have been on your mind lately. You’ll need to remind yourself that worrying gets you nowhere - nowhere worth going anyway!
Many believe that this dream is a bad omen for money problems. Personally, I believe that the problems or worries may have already existed and caused the dream in the first place.
It’s worth noting, also, that this dream could come to someone without any financial worries. Someone with more money than they can even count (I’ve heard about people like that!) may dream of banks because they’re like a second home!
BANQUET.
Dreaming of a banquet is a very good omen. You’ve worked hard and your rewards lie just ahead. Enjoy!
BAR.
To dream of a bar reflects a guilty conscience about something. This holds true for ANY sort of bar, whether it’s a pole or a pub.
BAREFOOT.
If you’re aware of bare feet in your dream, you’re a free spirit who needs to get back in touch with this side. You’ve been unbelievably busy lately, and possibly even stressed. It’s time to let go and LET GO!

BAGPIPES.
Dreaming of bagpipes denotes trouble ahead. The dream is suggesting that you are probably considering a trip, and that you should go ahead with your plans BUT exercise caution in all that you do. The next week will be ripe for trouble if you aren’t on guard.
BAKERY.
If you dream of a bakery, family is very improtant to you. You are a grounded individual with a good head for business.
Sometimes you have trouble getting people to listen to you, whether it’s because of your age or their insecurities. Keep speaking your mind, the others will come around.
BALCONY.
To dream of a balcony in any shape or form tells of an upcoming quarrel with a friend, lover, family member or co-worker. Be 100% sure that while speaking your mind is usually a good thing, going too far in this instance could to irreversible damage. Have your say, but watch what you say and how you say it.
BALD.
This is an interesting dream. To dream of a bald individual, who is indeed bald in real life - is a good omen and foretells of fortune and love. However, to dream of an individual who has hair in real life, but appears bald in your dream, speaks of disappointing news in the coming days.
If you dream that you are bald, and you truly are, the dream indicates self awareness and confidence. You like yourself, and that’s a really great place to be in.
If you dream that you are bald, and you truly have hair, you are having a problem with self-respect and confidence. You’re better than you relaize and would do well to get better acquainted with Y-O-U!
BALL.
To dream of a ball our girl Cinderella went through so much to attend, speaks of success in business, love and family life.
To dream of balls used in sporting events speaks of a fun-loving nature. You’re fun to be around and enjoy life to the fullest. You have the sort of outlook and disposition that’ll get you through anything life ever throws your way.
BALLET.
While dreaming of the ballet (or anything related to ballet, from slippers to ballerinas) indicates a cultured mind and artistic soul, the dream itself foretells of an upcoming instance where jealousy will play a role. Use the dream to be on guard against the green-eyed monster - this way you can be ready and not cheapen yourself by letting anyone else know what’s lurking in your mind. Keep your cool and you won’t be thought a fool!

If you’re very in touch with dreams, which you probably are if you’re reading a Dream Blog, you’re easily able to tell which dreams would fall under “troubling” dreams.

They aren’t necessarily nightmares, which have their own category. Troubling dreams, which are very common, are those which have FRUSTRATION or AGONY as their central theme. When you dream of trying and trying to get something done, but can’t. Or when you’re trying to make someone believe you but they won’t. FRUSTRATION.
When you dream this sort of dream, it is an indication that your mind is troubled - weighed down with worry, stress, repressed feelings, and/or doubts.
Only you, for sure, know the source of the trouble welling up in your mind. In this day and time, there are a million reasons to be bogged down with worry. To make matters worse, I’ve found that the more you DO, the more you have to stress over. The more people you LOVE, the more people you have to worry about. The alternative is one I want no part of: living alone and doing nothing. I know you don’t want to touch that one either!
So what can you do about a troubled mind? Of course, the worst thing is to do nothing, ignore it and hope everything works out. Nah, you’re better than that! I’d recommend the following:
* Talk to someone you trust explicitly. Someone who won’t take what you tell them and use it against you. Someone who will understand and lend you their shoulder as well as the ear.

BABY.
To dreamof a baby is a sign that you will be involved in one of the following withing 3 months:
- a profitable venture of some sort.
- a new friendship that will last the rest of your life.
- a new romantic relationship, if you aren’t all ready attached.
If you dream of twins, two of the above omens will be yours - in any combination. It could be a friendship AND a profitable venture OR two friendhips…
Good stuff is coming your way if you dream of a baby, or babies!
Of course, if you dream of babies while you’re pregnant or while someone close to you is pregnant - the baby IS THE NEW RELATIONSHIP and your dreams reflect your anticipation.
BACHELOR.
If you dream of a man and the most important thing you remember about him is that he’s a bachelor, someone you know (and it most certainly could be you if you’re single!) will be married or deeply involved before the year’s out.
If you have had romance on your mind lately, you will probably experience dreams of brides, bachelors, roses, kisses and such. These dreams indicate that you are a loving, even romantic person. The person you’re involved with (or WILL be involved with) is a very lucky individual!
BACON.
Bacon, for whatever reasons, indicates financial freedom. If you, like most of us, have your fair share of debts, you just may be relieved of one or two. It could also mean that money is headed your way that you hadn’t expected.
In my own personal opinion, I think bacon serves this symbol because of the phrase we’re all familiar with, “Bringing home the bacon.” I believe, therefore, that if you dream of bacon you have money on your mind. It’s a wonder we don’t all dream of bacon every night!
BACK.
If you dream of someone’s back in your dream, the omen is not good.
Many times, we dream of someone who we’re unable to identify because their back is to us. OR, we’ll KNOW who it is, but they won’t turn around. Either way, it’s a sign of misfortune and bad luck.
A troubled mind manifests this sort of dream. ( Please see the post that follows this one for more on troubled minds and dreams. )
By contrast (trying feverishly to keep this PG) if you dream of someone’s REAR, the dream is alluding to your sexual attraction to someone. Frequent dreams of intimate body parts, reflect sexual frustration.
If you dream of injuring your back, you’ve been overworking lately - either mentally or physically - and you need to slow down before you break down.
BADGE.
This is nearly as frustrating to say as the “body parts” fiasco above, but if you dream of a badge in any manner, it’s just possible that you’ve been thinking a bit too highly of yourself lately. You just may be great (I’ll bet you are), but you’ve come to believe that you’re the greatest. Now your dreams are getting sarcastic with you. I hate it when that happens!
Seriously, you have probably done something recently that you feel went unnoticed and you resent it. Can’t blame you, we’ve ALL been there. Just keep telling yourself that people get busy and 9 times out of 10 think things they never say. They noticed, they just failed to take time to say so.
Also, maybe they’re so accustomed to perfection from you they hardly even notice anymore. I doubt Jay Z tells Beyonce every single day how glorious she is, but surely she knows it! The man’s lips would fall off if he said it every time he thought it. (A lipless Jay Z wouldn’t be a good thing.)
BAG.
To dream of a bag (paper, plastic, sack, purse, etc) is an interesting foretelling. This dream indicates that you have a “handle” on what you want from life. You know where you’re going, you’re okay with where you’ve been, and you certainly know where you are.
To dream of a bag basically tells you, “You have got it together!”
There isn’t a clear omen attached to this dream, other than you’ll be able to work out any problems that come your way AND you’ll be able to handle any successes that come your way. Just keep yourself as grounded tomorrow as you are today and your future is glorious.

ARROW.
To dream of arrows is a sign that forces are working against you, either rivals or people you consider to be friends. Their motivation is jealousy which is fueled further by greed.
Be on the lookout for people who are telling you one thing to your face, and saying something entirely different behind your back.
ASPARAGUS.
Dreaming of asparagus indicates that something in your life which has been troubling you will soon be cleared up. Asparagus, like most vegetables and fruits, also indicates good health.
ASYLUM.
Dreaming of a mental institution is one of those dreams we refer to as “contrary” dreams. That is to say that their meaning is entirely different from what conventional wisdom would suggest, or what the dream itself SEEMS to be saying.
This type of dream actually testifies to your strong mental facilities and superior mental ability. Everyone respects you for your intelligence, just be sure not to allow yourself to become too full of yourself - all the respect you command now would disappear in the blinking of an eye.
AUCTION.
If you dream of attending an auction, you will have good luck in the coming days, but be very careful of the purchases you make. Spend your money wisely and not impulsively. Whereas you (hopefully) normally think before you buy, for a while think and then think again before you buy!
If you dream of unsuccessfully bidding on items, you have recently had a frustrating experience that you haven’t fully “let go” of.
AUGUST.
To dream of the month of August is generally believed to tell of temporary bad luck that will be of an “ironic” nature. The only exception to this rule is if you, or someone VERY close to you, has a birthday in this month. In this case, the omen is for GOOD luck rather than BAD.
AUTHOR.
To dream that you are an author indicates a creativity within you that you haven’t fully taken advantage of. There is more artistic talent running through your veins than you realize.
To dream of an author indicates that you have been reading more of late, trying to further your mind. Your hard work is paying off and will reap you more rewards than you can even imagine.
AUTOMOBILE.
Dreaming of an automobile foretells of prosperity and contentedness. Something really good is just around the corner!
AUTUMN.
To dream of your loved one and autumn is a very good sign for your relationship. You are in a very good place together, and will continue to be.
AXE.
Dreaming of an axe is a good omen for your personal life as well as you professional life. Both will continue to amaze you with how much happiness they bring to you.
